Subject:          Request for Proposals – General Counsel

The Idyllwild Water District (hereinafter “IWD” or “District”) has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) and invites interested law firms and individuals with a minimum of 10 years’ experience representing public agencies in general governmental procedures compliance, contracts and transactions and civil/business litigation, to provide general counsel legal services for the District; manage and determine the need as well as engagement and coordination of Special Counsel.

The Firm selected as General Counsel will serve at the pleasure of the IWD Board of Directors. District will enter into a contract establishing the terms and compensation for the subject services.

IWD is a public agency that provides water and wastewater services. Groundwater is the District’s only water source. The District produces, treats, and distributes water for the Idyllwild community. The District also collect, treats and disposes wastewater in an environmentally safe manner. IWD water service area has over 1,600 accounts, and wastewater has over 650 accounts. The District is governed by a five publicly elected Directors.
