Peter Szabadi was born in Budapest, Hungary. At the age of 14, as a consequence of the Hungarian Revolution, his family emigrated to the United States. Peter has lived in New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles and now Idyllwild, with extended sojourns to Italy. He attended schools in New York eventually becoming a lawyer in 1967 in New York and 1971 in San Francisco. He has had varied litigation practice, mostly in the fields of civil rights and labor law. He has also earned a second degree in Archeology at U.C. Berkely.
Peter has been visiting Idyllwild for the past 20 years and became a resident when he retired with his wife, Mishele Marsh. He has shed his legal suit for his love of the arts and photography. He is looking forward to serving this community as a member of the Board of Directors of the Idyllwild Water District and also the Art Alliance.
